Paul Brunner I have had the good fortune to bowhunt around the world, from Siberia, to Africa, to Australia, Argentina,and most of the U.S.  Over the years I have met three guides who are the best of the best.  Andrew Mackay is one of the three!  He is the finest back up man on dangerous game I have ever seen.  He is a true HUNTER!  His knowledge of the game he hunts is phenomenal.  He can take even the least experienced bowhunter right in on an animal and make sure he is safe.  He is one of the funniest guides I have ever met and he makes his camp seem like a bit of home and comedy routine all at the same time.  I have hunted Water Buffalo with him three times and will be going back again soon.  I have taken two big bulls with longbow and recurve bow with Andrew, and both went down in sight....one arrow each.  If you have a chance to hunt with Andrew for gosh sakes take it.  You will never have a better hunt... Steph Wottrich We purchased an auction item for Buffalo and Sambar deer at Safari Club International in Reno, and we had no idea what we had in store for us!  Andrew worked with us before hand and together we carefully planned a one month hunt.  Upon arrival in Darwin, we were met by Andrew and began our trip. We were fortunate to have taken a great number of true trophy animals. Andrew is extremely knowledgeable on hunting and field judging the animals of Australia. Jerel took two very nice buffalo, as well as a kangaroo and a wallaby. I harvested an exceptional banteng, buffalo, and scrub bull (feral ox) as well as blackbuck, sambar and rusa deer. The trophy quality was outstanding, including a number 1 SCI Feral Ox, taken with a handgun. I can honestly say we had the time of our lives. Andrew and his father are great hosts. It's a full "family operation" as his brother and sister assisted in Queensland as well. Andrew is quite a cook "on the barbie", the meals were fantastic! Mike Pell I hunted water buffalo with Andrew Mackay in July of 2009 and I couldn't be more pleased with every aspect of the safari.  Airport pick up, nice comfortable lodge and a fine Australian chef which is Andrew also. They have a vast and beautiful concession with plenty of game, and this guy knows where to find them.  He can find buffalo bulls when other buffalo can't find buffalo bulls.
